Splitting Costs For Uneven Nights At Hotel

Let's say one or more people announce that they have to leave one night early on a trip that has been booked for several months. It's only a few weeks out from the trip, so lodging cannot be changed. Do you adjust the amount they pay to reflect the number of nights they're staying or do you still charge them equally, given that this would penalize the folks staying?

My current predicament: 3 out of 8 folks are leaving 1 night early. Will significantly increase cost burden on rest of group due to the priciness of the lodging. Reason people have to leave early is due to PTO (which I think could've been determined earlier?)
