Lost my first love because we wanted two completely different things in life.

Hi so I’m F19 and M18 were in a no labels relationship for almost a year. I know in retrospect it sounds very little but right now the problem seems so huge to deal with

Both of us are Muslims so we put great emphasis on marriage. both of us wanted to get married super young here’s the problem he’s the oldest of 7 siblings and they’re all sisters so naturally all the responsibilities fall on him while we were talking about our future he mentioned how he wants a wife who will live with him and his family including his grandparents but I grew up in a small family where I was told the house I lived in wasn’t mine or my mothers so I was constantly reminded of that hence I’ve always wanted to live in my own house with my husband and my kids and I’m super introverted and get overwhelmed and overstimulated very easily we discussed this and eventually both of us realised that we didn’t want to give up on our goals he wnats him and his family to live together and I want to live separately with my own family and decided to breakup is there anyway I could’ve been more supportive or can I do anything to change his opinion

(He runs his father’s business and both of us live in Denmark we moved here 1.5 years ago and bonded over being in a different country)
