Help someone unfamiliar with Westchester find a place to live

I need to move to Westchester soon to be closer to family. I've never been there before and am not familiar with the area. I've been doing a lot of research into different towns/apartment complexes and am struggling to find a place that's the right fit. I'm hoping to get some input from locals to point me in the right direction.

Criteria:

1. Within ~25 minute drive of White Plains. A walkable town would be nice. White Plains itself, might be a bit too busy for me.

2. 1 BR/1 BA apartment. Budget ~$3,500. I prefer an apartment building/complex and something on the newer end.

3. Parking. I have a car and I've read about a lot of parking issues with many complexes.

4. I don't need any fancy amenities in the building. Just a nice, clean, safe, and preferably spacious apartment.
