Does anyone else’s brain only process emotions at night?
During the day I’m fine(ish). Busy, distracted, getting on with things.
Then I lie down to sleep and suddenly my brain decides it’s time to: Replay old conversations, Worry about things I can’t fix at 2am, Analyse my entire life trajectory
It’s like my brain saves everything for when I’m exhausted and least equipped to deal with it.
I try to laugh at it now because otherwise I’d cry — but I’m curious if anyone else experiences this, and if anything helps calm the night-time spiral.
