Ex is threatening to never repay informal loans I gave him in the past few months unless I give him more money now. Is this illegal?

If someone reported this to you, what would you tell them? It "feels" illegal, like I'm being extorted or something.

Adding that he said if I don't give him more money now, "your reward will be in death." Not sure what that means...

I know that this sub can't give legal advice, but I would like your opinions on this guy's actions and whether they are potentially crossing a line.
