Alastor/Rosie/Lillith Connection Theory

SEASON 2 SPOILERS AHEAD

This may be a little bit of a stretch so suspend your disbelief for a second.

In “Don’t you forget,” Rosie sings

”I say when to sit and stay Roll over, or go fetch”

Sit, Stay, Roll Over, and Fetch are all commands one would give a dog. Cool, she calls Alastor her pet, so it makes sense.

The second time she sings

”I say when to sit and stay Play ball, or just play dead”

Okay, Sit and Stay remain but the last two have changed. Now she says Play Ball and Play Dead.

We know of course that Rosie had Alastor disappear for some reason, around the same time that Lillith did. This accounts for the Play Dead command. Before that however, she says Play Ball. Assuming that this command took place first chronologically, just as it did in the song, it gives a little hint to what Alastor was doing before he disappeared.

He was “Playing Ball” so to speak. In other words — doing something for Rosie.

Due to how close Rosie is to the Morningstars, evidenced by the statue of them which is shown explicitly to be in cannibal town (the plaque on the bench under it is dedicated to Susan), and due to the coincidental timing, I think that Alastor was doing something for Rosie to aid in Lillith’s uprising.

Either way I’m currently writing a fic where that’s exactly what was happening so it’s canon in my AU at least!
