In theory, using some kind of reverse wet spacesuit or aquatic exoskeleton, could an octopus (a) pilot it and (b) interact with people or learn to perform bipedal tasks?

Basically I just think the mighty octopus is a nifty little dude and since we have proven they can solve complex puzzles and use their limbs for all sorts of delicate tasks, is giving them some kind of sea creature mecha or gundam suit to allow them to interact with people on land an absolutely insane idea, or...?
