Return Coach Empire 34 bag with no tags just dust bag

Curious has anyone had an issues returning a coach bag under 500$ when you have no tag and only some of the original stuffing and the dust bag?

I bought the merlot empire 34 in december before christmas and have worn it one time (still looks and is brand new) but saw that it went on sale via coach direct for 40% off. Initially I was going to just ask for a price match but it’s been over 10 days since my original purchase so I would like to return it and bought a new 34 already.

Here’s the dilemma, Idk if it’s better to try to return my original bag w no tags and only the dust bag or return the new coach bag i ordered 2nd which still has the foam wrapping and everything on it which I could just take off the tiny paper tag that has the coach barcode on it and it’s basically the same bag.

I want them to still be able to resell it, it’s not like I need the second bag i just wanted the refund of 170$ lol.

Any advice here? TIA!
