WORST NIGHTMARE HAPPENED

well you probably know what I’m about to say. I took the dog I just got TODAY along with another dog I’m boarding and my own dog to the park. The owner didn’t bring the dogs harness so I had an extra one, she put it on him. The dog is BIG. half lab half great Dane. He was pulling me the entire time at the park. I turn back to the car and he just stops. I’m like what’s up let’s go. He then gets himself out of the harness and takes off! I’m running after him, I get to him and he runs away. Every time I would get close he would take off. He bolted to the street and across and in the forest. People helping me calling his name, we’re all driving up and down but as soon as he sees anyone he runs away again. Luckily the owner was still home and she was able to finally catch him. The problem is that now she canceled the booking and mentioned (run away) and now I’m freaking out that I’m going to lose my part-time job since every time I read a Reddit post about a dog running away they say that they lose their account. I mentioned this to the owner and she’s going to try to retract her statement and keep the booking. But I am still boarding another dog until tomorrow. I’m finally calming down from the dog running away, I was having a panic attack and asthma attack. Now I might be out of my job and I’m just having the worst day. Can anyone say anything that will be helpful or positive? Anything like this happen and it ended okay with your account still intact?
