unemployed and feeling completely hopeless
I'm 29, live in the UK and was made redundant with 0 warning from a job I'd had for 2.5 years in July last year. Since then I've been applying for countless jobs and being rejected or ignored constantly.
I've had 3 interviews, including an extremely informal chat which resulted in me getting a one-month contract data entry job for December which just made me want to k*ll myself it was so horrible. I'm mostly glad they didn't extend the contract, despite now having no income again.
Now I'm back to job-hunting hell and just received an automated rejection email (yes, on a Sunday) from Indeed for a job I REALLY wanted and put a huge amount of time into what i thought was a very good application. I could probably count the number of jobs i've applied for that I actually would like to do on the fingers of one hand.
I'm probably going to have to go back to live with my parents (I know I'm lucky to have this safety net) in the middle of nowhere to save money for the second time since losing my job. I really just want to die to be honest, I don't see the point in being alive anymore if it's just trying and failing to find a job I hate to make money to stay alive. I'm trying to follow my passions and do something artistic but it just feels impossible. I look at everyone else I know who has a job and isn't single, especially the ones who work in creative places, and want to scream and punch myself in the head. I've missed out some details but it doesn't matter I just wanted to get that off my chest cos nobody in my life knows what to say to me anymore
