Story of Newhaven Marine.

Trains

There was a third station in Newhaven called Newhaven Marine. It was in the end of the Seaford branch in East Sussex. It was supposed to act as a passenger and Freight terminal for cross channel ferries and sea traffic, connecting the station to the ports for travel and goods. It was built to facilitate the ferry service. Newhaven marine had regular services from London Victoria with connections from ferry passengers travelling to Dieppe in Normandie, France. The station was closed to the public in 2006 for safety concerns, but a ghost train appeared in 2011 crawled through Newhaven Harbor to Marine. It came crashing down in 2017 and in 2020, it was shut. Comment down if you think Newhaven Marine should come back. The more you know.
