is it time for a new ring?

i have the gen 3 heritage ring and i’ve had it since October 2023. it’s been great on battery and everything but the last few days, i’ll charge it fully and less than 45 min after taking it off the charger it will tell me i need to charge it bc it only has 23 hours of battery left. has this happened to anyone or is it time for a new one?
