How do you counter allo as a Maia?

Me and my friend did some 1v1s as prime elder Maia and allo and even though the Maia almost weights 2 tons more than the allo the allo still dominates over Maia. Is there something I’m missing in the fight? Maia is slower and weaker so what am I meant to do?
