Mindy Flare/WSQK/Cold Slither

I find it odd the dj on wsqk’s internet broadcast name is a remix of ‘mind flayer’? Could they be using that 50000 watt blowtorch for mind control in Hawkins, Ala the ‘cold slither’ episode of gi Joe (Henry’s lunchbox) where cobra controlled minds thru music? (Satanic panic also said heavy metal was turning kids into satanists, music and its power have been a theme of the series with Clash, Kate Bush, etc) why would the gang not be allowed to work there just because Jimmy ‘fast hands’ decided to return? also we know there is a gate under the station. I donno food for thought..
