I feel like a failure.
New house dream moving further away.
3 months ago I have had really good job. Really well paid job but due to it being away from home, after consulting with my wife, we decided that it will be best that I get job back home. My daughter (4y.o) was struggling with me away and I absolutely will do anything for her. Being home every night is one of them things. But this also came with 30k pay drop and now with my wife being pregnant again, the dream of moving to a house is just slipping away further and further every day. My wife will have to leave her job when the 2nd kid is born as the childcare costs are higher than her earnings. This means we have about 5 months to secure mortgage the problem is, nursery for my first one, about (1600) a month completely wiped our savings. We need at least 20k for deposit for mortgage and currently have 0. We are already struggling in 2 bedroom flat where we running out of space. I have sacrificed a lot for my family and I am 100% fine with that. Seeing my daughter every day is the best reward. What pisses me off is that country I live in offers 0 support to working parents. Prices of houses are absolutely ridiculous and prices of everything just going up. I am just sad, that my daughter will have to be crammed in a room with her sibling for longer than we expected. I feel like a total failure. And I know my kid is happy and so am I, but I will always want more for my family. Just a rant on a dark and cold sunday before reality of going to work tomorrow gets even worst 🤣
