What can I prepare to get ready for the Ayn Thor?

I'm good on the games end of things, but is there anything else I can get ready? Any important files or apps to download? Any specific emulators? Any front ends? (Retroarch?), etc?

Basically I just want to download everything for the best experience ahead of time so when I set it up, I don't have to scour the net for ages. Thanks!
