ohniyou 52 ceiling fan

After tons of reading, I purchased this ceiling fan with the understanding that it could be Bluetooth controller. However, after installing the fan I don't see anything like that. The remote doesn't have any indicator for pairing, fanlamp pro doesn't seem to see it. I'm wondering if I am dead in the water. Replacing the fan sucked (20ft up) and I've got another one on the box. Thanks!
