Shipping jeans

Hey guys. I haven't been selling on ebay long. Just bought a lot of jeans, and looking to sell them. Why doesn't ebay let you just a flate rate envelope or box as a choice? Is that normally how you ship pants

Also, do you guys normally just do ebay calculated shipping so its basically a wash from what the buyer pays and you pay as seller. Thanks
