Water damage advice

My girlfriend’s laptop sat on a puddle of water from the cats knocking over a cup for anywhere between 2-4 days while charging. She assumed she cleaned it but didn’t check under the laptop.

She bought it about 4 months ago, a Lenovo yoga 2in1. Right now we have it sitting on a towel and haven’t attempted turning it on. Water is draining from the fans holes on the bottom.

What is the best course of action? How long until we try turning it on to see if it’s broken?

Any advice would be great.
