ThinkPad P1 Gen 2 high pitched whine?

hello, i am the original owner of a black friday p1 gen 2, it's my daily driver and I have been kinda ignoring the issue for a while now, but today I decided to reach out to the community for a possible solution. I've already repasted the cpu and have cleaned out the fans a few times. What can the high pitch audible frequency be? Fan going bad? It does pick up when under heavy load, however it has developed into a constant issue. thanks for your time
