I didn't "get" Dhurandhar
I'm not here to dunk on this movie. I drove two hours solely to catch the last screening in my city and it was totally worth it.
With that said -
For any viewer who doesn't have deep account of history of politics / events, including myself (besides 26/11), the plot throughout the movie must feel very disconnected.
My only gripe is that there was no strong linearity / continuity between the "Chapters" besides some common characters.
It felt like a montage of anthologies.
The acting was phenomenal though, especially from Ricky Behl*. The Azmal Kasab sequence - *woah*.
I'm a sucker for gore, though (rolled credits on Manhunt 2 at age 10).
I _felt_ the statement "I don't believe in anything, I'm just here for the violence" and that's precisely what kept me hooked through the movie.
I don't relate to nationalist(?) sentiments like "hypermasculine guy set dear neighbors on fire fuck yeah take me", which I understand was a good % slice of the target propaganda audience.
Just thought to share my take with this community of cinephiles and hear what yall think.
