Warranty lead time

Hi everyone, my combi hammer drill recently just stopped working, curiously I opened it up and poked around with the multimeter with no power coming through the trigger. I have contacted about the warranty of the drill but haven’t seen anything back about it. I’m wondering if it would be better for me to buy I replacement trigger mech or wait to hear back from warranty. Thanks
