AITAH: Upgade/swamp lawnmower. Now my wife is very mad

Scenario:
My wife and I both have stable jobs and are financially comfortable. Two years ago, we bought a 46" riding mower, but it turned out to be the wrong choice for our yard. It was far too small for an almost 2 acre yard. Because we’ve been busy with family and home projects, we’ve been paying someone $85 every 2–3 weeks to mow the lawn.

Recently, I found a unicron of a deal on a 60" zero-turn mowe with low hours. I bought it for $2,000 even though it sells new for much more ($7000). To cover the cost, I listed our 46" mower for $2,000 and found a buyer. The original cost of this mower was $2500.

On the day the buyer was coming to pick up the old mower, my wife came home and saw it out. That’s when I told her it was sold and the buyer was on the way. She became insanely upset and said I should not have made that decision without her. She said we don’t need a different mower, we already pay someone to mow, and I may not have time to mow.

I explained that the change would not cost us extra money and that I want to start mowing again now that our home projects are slowing down. I also admit I should have told her sooner, but I avoided the conversation because I expected disagreement. Since then, she has not spoken to me for three days. I explained in great detail the costs, the benefits and how this was all upside and doesnt impact her time at all now or in the future. She then went on how I spent money on something we didnt need now or later. Ive never questioned her purchases, even the crazy ones during the crypto boom. She did make some money, but she also purchased 10K of ETH during its ATH and that amount is still just sitting in a wallet doing

TLDR:
$2500 mower too small. Barely used and sold it for $2000.
We pay 85 to have our lawn mowed.
I paid $2000 for a 60" zero turn that will save me time and will enable me to mow the lawn in the future.
Wife is insanely mad that I didnt discuss this with her and hasnt spoken to me in 3 days. Even though she can spend money without pause or review with me, I cant do something on a much smaller scale that will save us time and money in the long run.
