What is the name of the state of being conscious while in an REM state?

Last night, and for some reason, I was conscious of my eye movement, while in my dream. I saw it, rapid, accelerated… I tried to move but my body was paralyzed. I experienced the full REM for a moment. I’d like to know what is the medical condition for this.
