Persistent back of neck anxiety + hypnic jerk kept me up despite drowsy
My first post here, I've quickly over the last few weeks have come to the realization that I'm one of y'all, years of mild to moderate built up stress + depression + possible ocd started manifesting itself in muscle weakness and hyper awareness, I was put on fluoxetine and for a week it had mixed results until last Sunday I had a great bout of worry out of nowhere about my symptoms being from some awful condition which I believe is what led to the biggest and scariest panic attack of my life Wednesday and my first ambulance ride, the hospital visit was nice at least. Only have had fluoxetine on Friday since then.
The last few days I've had general worry and inconsistent temperature control (mostly an annoying fever that changes region, usually my back or neck when I'm on a chair/in bed), the last couple days I had an okay time getting slightly back into the flow of sleep but I've still yet to achieve 8h again.
Last night was the worst because while I was actually pleasantly drowsy for the first time since I don't remember, whenever I drifted away my body went weak, the back of my neck tensed up and felt hot and I'd get a hypnic jerk keeping me awake, consistently for several hours no matter what I did. Does that ever happen with anyone..? I'm trying to limit screen stimulation today, taking a warm bath later at night and having some melatonin. I genuinely cannot bare the thought of, not only yet another sleepless night, but the thought of not being able to sleep properly again before of that hypnic jerk reaction...
