He wants to see me again

It has already been many moons since my marriage ended. Since the last time I finished all the logistics (I just need his signature now), we agreed not to meet or speak until then.

He has sent me three emails so far during this time to tell me how much he misses me and how hard it is for him (but he has never apologized or acknowledged his addiction).

I can clearly see that he is trying to get some of my precious attention, so I ignored all the messages until now. At this point, I think I actually need to ask him to sign the separation agreement before he goes to the army in February, the exact date is unknown to me, as he will move from the city where we live, which is very positive for me, so I won’t run into him for some years.

I want to respect my boundaries and meet him in a public place to go through these last details (when he is moving, whether he already has a lawyer, and agreeing on the official/financial separation date).

I need some of your expertise on how to deal with this. I need him on my side to be able to divorce successfully without him making it difficult. He has been responding well so far, but at the same time I want to protect myself. And honestly sometimes my mind can play me tricks…
