Is it viable to have Two SDs? One for regular playing with online, and the other with homebrew?

Hi, I got an Amazon gift card for Christmas and I wanna buy an SD for homebrew, I already have a 128 GB SD, and I'm planning on buying another 128GB SD with that gift card, but that SD will be used only for homebrew. I'm not really into the switch homebrew and I'm wanna start, so I wanna know if this is a good idea from the perspective of people who know about this.
