Laptop to game even on low settings for under 600-700 euros? (Austria/Italy, Europe)
Total budget (in local currency) and country of purchase. Please do not use USD unless purchasing in the US:
600 - 700 Euro
Are you open to refurbs/used?
Yes
How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life?
Performance & build quality are the most important. Battery life is useful to bring it around for very light work like taking notes or preparing material on the go.
How important is weight and thinness to you?
Not too important (although welcome, of course)
Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A.
N/A
Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run.
Gaming. I'd like to run games like Baldur's Gate 3, Elden Ring, or even Expedition 33. I'm ok with low settings, as long as it runs fine
If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
Baldur's gate 3, elden ring, expedition 33. Fine with low settings, but at least 30 fps, if possible
Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)?
If it has good build quality, it would be nice. As for the rest, I can adapt, I think.
Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.
I feel kinda flexible, I come from a lenovo yoga 510 with 128 mb integrated graphic card and an i5-7200U processor. I feel like anything would be a considerable jump, so I think I would be fine with something humble and refurbished that is not even 500 euros, I suppose.
I will probably try to build a desktop alongside a laptop for more demanding stuff and to move from console gaming, so while I would like a pc to last (like this one that I've been using for 5+ years despite shitty specs), I know it can't be totally "future proof".
I am not looking for the best specs ever, but I'd like not to rule out any game that comes out because I automatically know it would never run on my laptop, even if it's an indie game
