What is the right thing to do?

So me and my fiance have been together for less than a year. He’s 37, I’m 31. He is super sweet, opens doors for me, and is encouraging with my sports… or so I thought. We have been planning the wedding, and he wants to get married on our year anniversary. I think that’s way too soon to get married and I don’t want to feel rushed. I don’t want to get eloped, because I want my friends and family to be there. He wants it to be just us and our immediate family. I want to wait until he is financially stable before getting married and having kids. He asked me how much money he needed to make to be considered financially stable, and I said where we don’t have to starve and we don’t have to worry about money. He said my answer was scary. I want him to be able to cover his bills himself, and my income go towards businesses and investments while sharing a joint account. He asked me to cover his security deposit for renting a new house. I told him I didn’t understand why he couldn’t sell his stocks instead of asking me for money, since I have competitions coming up I have to cover, and am trying to get my dad a birthday present coming up this month. I don’t like the idea of being in debt vs working hard to make it happen and selling things to cover it. I am very ambitious. I’m a competitive athlete in 2 different sports and am on the verge of going pro this or next year. I also work full time. I cover our trips going to competitions. He pays when we go out to eat, and that’s it. He makes more than I do, but he’s $15k in credit card debt. I am debt free and have a savings and investments. Now he is saying my competitions are a bigger priority than he is. I’m alarmed because he knows that this is something I’ve been working on for years, and am so close to achieving everything I’ve worked for. He wants a traditional marriage. I told him that means the man pays the bills, and I’m not opposed to working and having a joint account. I just think he should be able to cover his part. Thoughts?
