Macros behaving differently on Linux?

I switched from windows 10 anet launcher to kubuntu linux steam launcher with -provider Portal setting to keep my account.

I have a logitech gaming mouse with the mouse 4 button set to macro /gg followed by enterpress for raiding purposes, since / on my keyboard layout is shift 7.

When the chat is selected on either OS, the macro inputs the /gg command as intended.

On windows pressing mouse 4 with the chat unselected does nothing.
On linux with chat unselected it inputs shift7ggenter, which on my keybinds unmounts me, triggers utility skill 1 and opens and closes the guild panel. This is an annoyance if I accidentally press mouse 4.

Is anyone else having similar problems with logitech mouse macros on linux?
