Help with home setup.

Advice

Hello all!

Hoping I can get some help with the community. I have an existing Eero 6 network that works fine, but I have gigabit fiber and am thinking about an upgrade to maximize my speeds. I recently moved to HA and have seen the UniFi stuff pretty universally lauded by the community. So I’m looking into it.

I’m not an IT professional and don’t really care to do a ton of network management, but I do prioritize excellent network performance.

I have a roughly 2000 sq ft house and a detached finished shed/back deck that I’d like to provide coverage to. My house is a tri-level and has plaster walls, with a fairly open concept on the main living area.

I’m currently using a Ring Alarm pro for gateway, with an Eero 6 in the house and an eero 6 extender in the shed. Coverage is totally fine in all areas and reliable with this setup. I don’t have Ethernet/coax through my house and am not looking to run cable. Would be fine with powerline for wired backhaul if that’s going to give me the best performance. But am currently using a wireless backhaul.

Any recommendations on a setup? If going with an Eero pro 7/Max 7 is a better fit I can stick with their products as they work fine currently.
