Sleeping on floor on top of floor vent

12–18 Months 👶

I transitioned my 17 month old daughter to a floor bed just before Christmas. She went from sleeping through the night in the crib to wandering her room crying and banging on the door. She's stayed in her bed and slept through the night maybe twice since the switch. Her new thing is sleeping on floor by the door, which I know is not a big deal normally, but it's on top of the floor heating vent. She loves when the heat comes on and likes to put her face right there, and now she's sleeping on it too.

I added a tent to her room by the vent and I'm hoping if she wanders she'll choose that instead, but is there anything else I can do? If I move her she wakes up and it's takes at least an hour to get her to fall asleep again, just to wake up 45 minutes later. Bringing the crib back isn't an option, it was a mini-crib that she outgrew. I did order a low bed frame hoping that it will help her stay in bed by being slightly more structured.

I think she has some teeth coming in too, which could definitely be part of it. She's not cold, she has a sleep sack and blanket. I don't know, I'm just tired. Everyone told me floor beds make life easier and they were so freaking wrong
