Rookie Question

New to Kalshi and betting in general. I am sure this question occurs to everyone at some point so forgive my niavete.

For context, I bet small amounts on things I am interested in (culture awards, politics) and for fun. I am not throwing away my son's college funds or anything based on the advice given here.

So when there's a market with what seems to be a pretty guaranteed outcome, where 99 percent or more people are betting in favor of this outcome, so the payout is like, less than 10 percent of your original bet, what is to stop someone from just putting a bigger chunk of money forward at low risk to get a quick boost?
