How to spot fake Arabic perfumes in 30 seconds (quick checklist)
We get a lot of messages from people asking:
“Is this bottle real?”
“Does this look fake?”
“Did I get scammed?”
So here’s a simple, fast checklist anyone can use.
This won’t make you an expert – but it will catch most fakes immediately.
1. Box print quality
Check:
• font sharpness
• colour consistency
• spacing and alignment
Fakes often look “almost right” but slightly off.
2. Cellophane wrap
Authentic wraps are:
• tight
• clean
• evenly sealed
Loose, wrinkled, or messy wrap is a red flag.
3. Batch code consistency
The batch code on:
• the box
• and the bottle
must match exactly.
If they don’t – walk away.
4. Cap fit & weight
Real bottles usually have:
• solid, snug-fitting caps
• balanced weight
Fakes often feel light, loose, or cheap.
5. Sprayer quality
Press it.
Does it:
• spray evenly?
• feel smooth?
• or feel crunchy and inconsistent?
Bad sprayers are common on counterfeits.
6. Scent profile
Fakes often:
• smell harsh on opening
• lack depth
• disappear quickly
• or smell “chemical”
Authentic Arabic perfumes usually have richness and weight, even if the profile isn’t for you.
7. Price reality check
If it’s dramatically cheaper than everywhere else – that’s not a bargain, that’s a warning.
Arabic perfumes are affordable, but they’re not free.
Important truth:
Batch codes alone do NOT prove authenticity anymore. Many counterfeits now copy real codes.
You have to look at the whole picture.
We’re not posting this to scare anyone.
We’re posting it because too many Australians are getting burned and don’t realise until it’s too late.
If you’re ever unsure about a bottle, you can ask.
We’d rather help than watch someone get scammed.
