MQD help & Delta Vacations

I just qualified for status match on Delta, coming from United. I now need to earn a little over 1200 MQDs in 3 months to keep the status for a full year. I’m much less familiar with Delta’s earning structure so I’m hoping to get some advice on how to accumulate these MQDs in a short period of time. The site says booking Delta vacation packages earns MQDs but it’s not exactly clear if you get the full amount for the package, for example do my companions flights count? The hotel? How much would I need to spend on a package to guarantee the 1200+ MQDs?

Thanks!
