Penn State Health - not hiring PAs?

I went to Penn State Health’s website and conducted an advanced practice job search. Among the 12 pages of posted positions, I found few that were willing to hire a physician assistant. Nearly all job postings specified a nurse practitioner, even for procedure-based surgical jobs.

Any idea what’s up with that?

Seems absurd that Penn State has a PA program right at Hershey but clearly doesn’t respect our role enough to hire us.
