this is AUG A3, aka my ex gun friend. come in at the price of 9.8k at lvl 1. the picture above is the "default" configuration that you can also see on the left side
and this is my preferred AUG A3 base with no attachment except muzzle device, yes you can go without one and blind yourself and get absolutely smacked by the recoil.
comparing the 2 picture we can clearly see that firstly I'm broke, very broke, and second thing you might notice is that barrel and muzzle device in the second pic are not the same as the first one but in both pic I still do not own the gun hence why receiver price is still there.
and this is why they put price tag on every part instead of putting it on the whole gun
you can buy just the things you want and the things you need.
I clearly do not need 16.4" barrel and I do not have to pay for it because in second pic (my preferred option), I replace the original barrel with the 20" one. this way I only have to pay for 1 barrel and not 2, AUG A3 is not double barrel rifle, I don't need more than 1.
and now for the "the sticker price is deceptive then"
If you hover your mouse over a gun you do now own, it will show you exactly what you will NEED in order to use it.
AUG right here only asked for a barrel, everything else has free pre selected option (except muzzle, they choose one for you because they care and love you so much) other gun might ask for different thing but that 4099 credit, is 3500 for the receiver and 599 for the 16.4" barrel, it's not deceptive, it's not scamming, it's right there.
