[TOMT] 80s commercial I believe it was for dog food

I remember this commercial coming on quite a bit. It had a boy getting off a school bus and he had a leather strap around his books instead of a book bag. He got off the bus and his dog was very happy to see him. The jingle went something like "when you were just a pup....I never thought, that you'd grow up.....we will always be together, forever side by side....something something...as time goes by". The lyrics may not be exact, but I think it's pretty close. It just drives me crazy that I can't find this! The dog in the commercial was a golden retriever puppy I believe.
