Best way to clean the Alibaba card puncher?

My card puncher arrived today. I wiped it down with paper towel and punched out dummy cards with scrap paper. Still getting some grease and can hear grit when adjusting the paper. How do I safely go about cleaning it? Do I unscrew these hexbolts in the front, or just insert cloth or something and keep trying to wipe away? I know there are springs inside and I do not want to cause any damage or have it come apart. Thank you.
