Optimizing Grand Central commute from Montville/Boonton

Found so far morning can be ~65 min. consistently door to door. 20 min. drive to Willowbrook P&R, 193 bus to PABT, and 7 line on MTA to Grand Central. Just need to get on the bus a little before 06:00 ET.

Not had luck in afternoon. Challenge is bus from PABT to Willowbrook P&R. Can leave PABT by 15:18 ET or wait until after 17:00 ET and door to door takes ~90 min. Anything between those times quickly spikes to ~115 min.

Anyone have any alternatives that work well?
