Am i fighting to protect my country ? or am I invading a country for another countries benefit?

over the years ive noticed the last few wars the reasons for them have not been true.
at the moment we have israel wanting to fight iran and all these other countries which trump is for some reason going along with it... are we just going to go? I feel like if its good vs evil we are the evil, even in the last few we were told BS.
whats everyones perspectives ? do we just not ask questions and fire and ask later or do we ask now?
