[Discussion] Anybody Else Having Issues with High Pen Ammo?

Had a raid bringing in full packed mags of M61 in an X-17 to Reserve. Rushed Bunker and fought a solo PMC. During two duels with the player I connected a good number of shots, at least eight, including the first engagement that was an ambush against the player, likely landing three or four shots to his thorax or stomach.

Regardless I ended up dying during our third duel because I left hand peeked, but I have had a couple of similar experiences of having issues with high pen ammo just not performing as expected.

My end of raid report suggested 27 hits out of 31 shots fired, most of which came from my fight against three Raiders between my first and second duel with the player. I did 1450+ damage, with just under 500 absorbed by armour. This seems absolutely nuts if it is working as intended, and horribly broken if it is not. M61 has 60 pen and 73 damage, and it should not be struggling with anything at all.

I’m interested to hear opinions from others regarding armour and high pen ammo?
