🎨 Advice needed: Dark Wood Elves guarding a cursed forest – colour scheme ideas?

Hi everyone! I’m working on a group of Wood Elves with a dark theme and I’d love some painting advice. The idea is that they’re condemned to act as wardens of an ancient evil trapped within a cursed forest. They’re not heroic spirits, but grim watchers bound by duty.

I’m looking for a dark, gloomy, mysterious and savage colour scheme that really makes the forest feel hostile and wrong. What colours would you suggest for elven skin, clothing/cloaks, weapons and armour? And for the tree spirits / arboreal guardians of the forest? I’d also like everything to feel slowly corrupted over time — subtle glow, discoloration, veins, runes or spores.

Any ideas, references or colour palettes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
