Ford ranger $5000

Looking at this 2000 ranger XLT step side at 160000 miles with extended cab and 4x4. Everything looks good, has had frequent maintenance, as well as some new parts that were replaced. The only red flag I see was the heads were rebuilt in 2020 and in 2024. Owner says no issues since the rebuild and even took it from the Bay Area to Lake Tahoe for a trip this last December. Owner has been super responsive and transparent, even giving the vin, which makes me want to take a chance at this. I definitely wouldn’t pay $5k and I also don’t want to make an emotional decision to purchase this truck since I’ve been wanting a ranger for some time now and it has everything I’ve been looking for. What do y’all think, is it too big of a risk.
