can schizophrenia be caused by guilt?

i am so insanely sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask, I do not mean any harm whatsoeve, and I am sorry if this wasn’t labeled properly, but i have a question.

i am not schizophrenic (tho i do struggle with maladaptive daydreamin), but I was wondering if schizophrenia can be caused by heavy guilt?

like for example you harm someone (like beating, killing etc) could it make you feel so guilty that you start getting delusions (like them coming back to haunt you in a way)?

again I am so so so sorry if this is offensive to anyone, I’m just curious. I will take down the post if I am asked to.
