My Shihtzu puppy has refused to be fed from bowl

My 3 months old Shihtzu has refused to eat from bowl & insists on being handfed. What should I do?

Update: I pretended to eat from his bowl & he finished the entire bowl thinking that I was after his food.

Background: He ate from this bowl in the past regularly but had stopped drinking from it cause I left him behind with a baby sitter for 8 hours & went to a place where he isn't allowed. He ate , drank & pooped on schedule while I was gone but stopped eating from the bowl in protest for leaving him behind. I Work from home so him being this clingy is not usually a problem.
