Struggling with deficit - tips needed
Hey everyone, so I (20M 6’1) started tracking calories May 1st of this year. I was able to go from 270 to 199 on December 15th which was a huge victory for me because I haven’t been sub-200 since I believe middle school. But recently with the holidays I have had such a huge appetite and have not been walking nearly as much because I was on winter break (I walk to my college classes).
So basically between my BMR lowering plus my NEAT being lowered I have been plateaud and have actually jumped up to 208 (mostly water weight but have been eating over my calories) and am super demotivated as of late as I am trying to find sustainable ways to get to my goal weight of 175 (cardiologist recommended this weight).
I just bought a standing desk with a walking pad hoping it helps and with school in session again plus a seemingly mild winter I am hoping I can have a break through. I also bought sugar-free Metamucil (Psyllium husk) to help with satiety but if anyone has any recommendations please drop them here.
