Multiple antennas to allow node in home to reach rooftop node.

Pretty straight forward in the title. I'm new to meshtastic but wondering about the efficacy of splitting the antenna cable into 2 with 1 mounted on my roof and 1 mounted in my home. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
