Upstairs neighbor is always at home

I’m seriously about to lose my mind. My upstairs neighbor is home all day, every day, and the noise never stops(stomping, yelling, blasting his TV)I work from home and it’s made my apartment completely unlivable. I feel constant rage and anxiety because of this person who is the biggest loser.

I’ve tried everything: white noise, earplugs, noise-canceling headphones. None of it works. The noise still cuts through. I leave almost every day just to work from a café because I cannot stand being here. When I’m on my way back home, I feel sick to my stomach knowing what I’m walking into.

He never leaves. He’s there when I wake up and there when I come home at night. He stays up until 2 a.m. playing COD while yelling directly above my bedroom and I can’t sleep until he finally quiets down, so I’m exhausted and running on fumes. I have been feeling very depressed because of this.

I don’t know what else to do. Any advice would be appreciated. I’m looking for a new apartment, but I’m barely holding it together in the meantime.

I’d love to hear stories if you are going through or have gone through something similar.
