Potential Boost leak/Damaged Exhaust Manifold?

Hi all, I drive a 25' Honda Civic Type R and went a ahead and installed a HVI from PRL at a very reputable shop, recently I've noticed that every time I accelerate, I hear a high pitched noise almost like a whistle that wasn't there before near the top of the boost range. Is there a potential boost leak? or maybe a lose hose/clamp? I have no engine light, the turbo still hits max boost, and the car runs fine, although I have noticed that I have sluggish acceleration. Is it safe to drive and how serious can this issue be?
